Osumi Cocktails and Sushi Bar in Coral Gables is fantastic! The food was amazing, and the staff—Guillermina, Juana, and Jorgelina—delivered outstanding service. Highly recommend!

Pretty good Sushi. A bit of a limited menu. They have a few key rolls,a few Sushi style apps and hot apps along with a few entrees. Not your traditional Sushi joint but service was good and the food was good as well.

I love the vibes of this place, very nice and chill. I loved my sushi, I got the kani roll and then the surf and turf, both were very delicious. I also highly recommended the spicy edamame. I only say the service was a bit slow and inattentive. But all good everywhere else.

    GOOD SUSHI!!

    Service - 5
    Ambiance - 5
    Food - 4
    Price quality ratio - 4

I’m always looking for new sushi places and came across this one a few weeks ago through a post on TikTok or IG, can’t remember.

It’s located within the Alambra Plaza in Coral Gables. CG could be tricky at times for parking but there is a parking garage right above Graziano’s which is only half a block from Osumi and the rates are affordable.

Coming back to the restaurant, the two biggest selling points for me were the service and the drinks. The server was constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed. As for the drinks, they were delicious, no doubt.

As for the food, we had:

    - Spicy edamame - they were perfectly cooked and nicely spiced.
-Pork dumplings - Juicy, tasty. My complain here is that they were kind of cold, like they were sitting at the kitchen, but they were flavorful.
    - Salmon and Tuna crispy rice - none of the two did it for me. While the fish was super fresh, flavors didn’t come through and the rounded shape of the rice and quinoa cakes is not ideal for biting if you are grabbing them with chopsticks, perhaps if they reshape the cakes, it will make them better, just my opinion. Price was also kind of expensive for only 2 pieces ($12 for 2 pieces). Because of all of this, I’m striking a star off
    - Spicy tuna roll - it was delicious, fresh, spicy
    - Osumi roll - this was perfect, the acidity of the pickled onions and the crispy quinoa were the icing on the cake. I had to order a second round of them.

    All in all, good experience.

The food here is amazing and so is the ambiance. It’s clear that a lot went into the design of the restaurant. Gorgeous restaurant! On to the good part… the FOOD. This restaurant made me love sushi again. The rolls are delicious. The waygu dumplings, hamachi, surf and turf roll, osumi steak and the pavlova are some of my favorites! Try this spot out you won’t regret it!

Great new restaurant/cocktail bar in the pedestrian zone in the Gables. Japanese/American fusion style. We were there for the Happy Hour which offered a nice sampling of some delicious items. The cocktails and prices were amazing and I was happy about the vegetarian options which were super delicious. Unfortunately could only find one vegetarian/ vegan option amongst the entrees, but I know Japanese food is not very vegan friendly in general. I’d definitely come back for another Happy Hour especially seeing how friendly the staff was and accommodating they were towards my puppy!!!

A great restaurant with a full menu oriented mainly to sushi. It’s a plus that they offer wine and cocktails.
Red wine and white wine diversity was great.
Very welcoming atmosphere and kind service.
We noticed the service was mainly in Spanish and we didn’t insist in English.
We tried 2 rolls and they hit it right with flavor, quality and mainly the size. Not that it’s was excessive quantity, the bite sizes were easy to eat. I prefer rolls that are bite sizes than impossible to chew.
The roll has 10 or 12 pcs. Enough one roll per person. I think with one appetizer and one roll you are good to go.
The glass of wine wasn’t that full. But enough.

Decoration is above the Giralda restaurants around then.

They offer unlimited sushi on Sunday’s lunch for $39 pp and I will be back to try that!

Parking above Graziano’s is 30 yards away

Traveling for work and looking for a good sushi restaurant. This restaurant came up as a google search ‘restaurants near me’ - staying at the nearby Hyatt.

The hostess was very sweet and my waiter Michael was great to bring me a drink while allowing me time to browse the menu.

I selected a unique dish that included Shrimp, scallops and avocado. So delicious- and fabulous presentation.

I then requested a specific sushi - rainbow roll with spicy mayo and eel sauce. It was perfect. Fresh fish and even better than expected.

To top it off, the General Manager, Jaime, treated me to a signature cocktail. Cheers!!

Not a single detail was missed! Everything about this place was exceptional! From the aesthetic to the atmosphere to the cocktails/food it was absolutely incredible! It’s hard to find a place that checks all the boxes and OSUMI does that. Definitely will be coming back very soon. Thank you to the wonderful staff and management for going above and beyond! This restaurant gets a 10/10 from me! Loved it!
