GOOD SUSHI!!

I’m always looking for new sushi places and came across this one a few weeks ago through a post on TikTok or IG, can’t remember.
It’s located within the Alambra Plaza in Coral Gables. CG could be tricky at times for parking but there is a parking garage right above Graziano’s which is only half a block from Osumi and the rates are affordable.
Coming back to the restaurant, the two biggest selling points for me were the service and the drinks. The server was constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed. As for the drinks, they were delicious, no doubt.
As for the food, we had:
- Spicy edamame - they were perfectly cooked and nicely spiced.
-Pork dumplings - Juicy, tasty. My complain here is that they were kind of cold, like they were sitting at the kitchen, but they were flavorful.
- Salmon and Tuna crispy rice - none of the two did it for me. While the fish was super fresh, flavors didn’t come through and the rounded shape of the rice and quinoa cakes is not ideal for biting if you are grabbing them with chopsticks, perhaps if they reshape the cakes, it will make them better, just my opinion. Price was also kind of expensive for only 2 pieces ($12 for 2 pieces). Because of all of this, I’m striking a star off
- Spicy tuna roll - it was delicious, fresh, spicy
- Osumi roll - this was perfect, the acidity of the pickled onions and the crispy quinoa were the icing on the cake. I had to order a second round of them.
All in all, good experience.
