The food was exceptional! It was my first time eating at an omakase and thanks to the Taste of Gables deal, I was able to try one. First time I got to try crispy rice with sushi and it was surprisingly very good!

Service was also prompt and very helpful. The chefs helped explain some of the dishes as well.

I came for omakase lunch during taste the gables. Flavors and freshness were great. The attention of the chef and server was ideal. I loved the eel hand roll. I wish they swapped one crispy rice for another nigiri, but thats just a personal preference. The interior decor leaves something to be desired.

Wow, so we went in for this Taste of the Gables promotion. It was great. We had the $35 lunch special, nine courses, and everyone was delicious. If I had to pick a couple of favorites, the Serrano ham nigiri with olive oil caviar was extraordinary. The bluefin tuna crispy rice with bone marrow incredible. The scallops with the lemony flavor were amazing. The barbecue eel hand roll wrapped in nori was outstanding; everybody had a different flavor. Off the menu, we ordered the arancini/a with truffle and caviar, accompanied by miso glaze and bone marrow. We had a great time. The service was friendly and helpful; we will definitely return, and you should too. Pro tip: find Tony Montana
And thanks to the staff and the chef

Excellent dining experience at Miss Crispy Rice. The manager, sushi men and service were fantastic and friendly. The nigiri combinations are very well selected and executed. My only suggestion is to improve the ambiance with more suitable lighting.

Miss Crispy Rice is an absolute gem. We went for Miami Spice and were blown away — the quality of the seafood was excellent, and the menu was truly special (they even had a dish with Uni, which is rare for Miami Spice). The team was very accommodating, happily switching out a plate since we don’t eat bone marrow. Service was exceptional, and the owner himself took care of us with such knowledge and warmth that it made the whole experience feel personal. The restaurant is also very wheelchair accessible, which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back!

Went for Miami spice dinner. First omakase and it was a 10/10 experience. Great service, great vibes, and the best crispy rice I’ve ever had (lives up to its name). Definitely on the pricey side normally (like all omakases seem to be) but the experience is fantastic. I tried flavor combinations I’d never tried before like lemon zest hamachi nigiri and snapper nigiri in plum sauce. Definitely a great date night spot for sushi lovers, if I could ball out all the time I’d be a regular 😂

Make a reservation and do the omakase. They have an a la carte option as well but it’s a better deal to do one of the omakases. Also keep in mind you pay ahead of time when making the reservation which felt weird at first but it was nice to just leave when we were done!

I’ll also note that this is not a traditional omakase experience, it’s more of a remix with things like crispy rice and arancini. But I have heard their sister restaurant Mr. Omakase is a more traditional experience. Hopefully I can go next Miami spice/birthday!

Miss Crispy Rice offers such a fun and unique dining experience. I love their one-hour dining format, which keeps everything quick and efficient—perfect for a lunch outing when you want something special but don’t have a lot of time. I visited for the Miami Spice lunch, and while the food was excellent, the portions were on the smaller side, so you’ll likely find yourself ordering a few extras to feel satisfied.

That said, everything we tried was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The eel and tuna crispy rice were standouts—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and of outstanding quality, making each bite worth savoring.

Be aware that prices are on the higher side, so expect a larger bill, especially if you add to the Miami Spice selections. Still, the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience make it worth the splurge at least once.

I always try to visit a few new restaurants during Miami Spice and this year Miss Crispy Rice was at the top of my list. I am glad I did because it did not disappoint. The space is cozy and inviting, I ended up going two times and both times the staff was amazing and attentive and the food was a 10 out of
    10. I can confidently say that I will definitely be back next Miami spice (I already have
August 1st circled on my calendar ) and may even pass by to just grab some of my favorite items á la cart like the Miso Corn Leek Soup, Truffle Arancini & Miso Glazed Bone Marrow , Himachi Kama and the Dessert. I also had the pleasure to meet the owners Andrew and Ryan who are both amazing and deserve all the success with not only Miss Crispy Rice but all their other restaurants . Now which one of the two are more handsome? You’re going to have to go to one of those restaurants , meet them and decide that for yourself.

Went for miami spice lunch 1pm on a weekday, 9 bites for $35. Prepay for your meal ahead of time to reserve your 1 hour spot. It is considered a good value when you compare the price on their regular menu.

Not pictured was the two small fish dumplings.
Nice fresh flavors with good care to presentation.
The restaurant was empty, but I was rushed to finish my food, from what I tasted it was fine-total time spent inside was 35 min.

I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for this experience (from out of state on vacation and drove 2+hours in miami traffic due to the “hype”).
Good for if you’re already in the area and you want a light bite.

Miss Crispy Rice is such a gem! Miami Spice here was an incredible deal, $35 for a 9-course omakase that felt like a true experience. Each course was so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was a lot of fun to watch the chefs prepare everything right in front of us, adding to the excitement of the meal. The restaurant itself has a modern, inviting vibe, and the service was attentive and welcoming. A fantastic spot I’ll definitely be coming back to!

Service was absolutely excellent. They were hospitable from the moment we walked to the second we left. Receptionist was a bit indifferent, but it was a short interaction.

I think the crispy rice is better than most places, however The fish itself wasn’t anything extra extraordinary besides the scallop, which was amazing. Everything was fresh and made in front of you. Sushi Chef was nice and welcoming. This is definitely worth a try however, if you are a hard-core sushi enthusiast, there are better places to explore.

Incredible 16 course omakase for an anniversary! Every course was unique and flavorful, with a great variety from start to finish. The crispy rice dishes were a standout — perfectly crunchy and delicious. The staff were amazing, highly knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even better. Wouldn't be able to find a better experience anywhere else!

This omakase sushi restaurant delivers a truly memorable dining experience, blending tradition with innovation. What sets them apart? Their signature crispy sushi rice—a brilliant twist that adds texture and depth to every bite. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big impression.

Each course is beautifully presented, with top-quality fish and a clear respect for craftsmanship. The chefs are not only skilled but also engaging, making the experience feel personal and special.

If you’re looking for an omakase that surprises and delights, this place stands out—especially thanks to that addictive crispy rice. A must-try for sushi lovers seeking something a little different.

Great experience and great atmosphere. Very personal and explained all the food. The 7 course tasting was great. Add a little sake or beer and it's even better. A recommended experience and great bite.

Had such a great time. I loved the immersive experience, hand rolls and the spicy tuna flight was amazing. Service was great, we got a special treat at the end and shared a lovely bottle of wine with my friend. Will definitely be returning to this spot.

I have been wanting to try Miss Crispy Rice but it's a bit far from me. I took advantage of coming here during Miami Spice. They had a 13 course dinner for $60. Good but not great.

First course started off strong. Tasty sashimi. Fresh and served chill on ice. The dumplings were the second course and my guest and I were both disappointed. Not good. Next few items were nigiri but on crispy rice. Had a spicy tuna and an eel. The issue is the crispy rice was too tall. We had a hard time and would have had a better experience if they were flatter. The fish roe on eel was unique though and I liked it. The next piece was scallop with a small taste of uni. The crispy rice took over the taste here. Again, the crispy rice can be more flatter so it isn't a dominant taste. Next we had regular nigiri on sushi rice. There was no sauce brushed on these so we didn't like that. Should have at least a soy sauce or wasabi. The handroll that we had next was a shrimp tempura roll. Didn't exactly fit with a nori sheet. We then tried a beef and egg rice bowl. Beef had good flavor. The miso soup that came next had too much stuff in it. My guest didn't like it. They didn't provide us with a spoon so it was hard to sip it when corn was sitting at the bottom of the bowl. Last, we had an ice cream that was nice and refreshing.

We thought they took too much time in between each course. The staff is also not fixated on customer service. For my entire seating, we were all doing Miami Spice. It was prepaid and tip was already included on the booking. The service didn't seem like they were on it. But they got the job done.

The place is very small and simple but cute. It is a counter, and they share the space with another restaurant. Some dishes were good others ok. People who work there are very friendly and service is fast. It's not the top of my list, but it's definitely worth a try.
