This family owned restaurant is a gem in Coral Gables! We are visiting from AZ and I must say their empanadas are better than what we have back home. We had the James wrap and James omelette with beef and ham & cheese empanadas… absolutely delicious! Service is amazing, we felt like part of the family.

Stumbled across this little mom and pop place just looking for a bite. Upon entering the place I was pleasantly greeted by an older man who offered to make me anything I see on or off the menu and ended every phrase with "rock n roll man". Food was great and definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The food here is absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. They cook it right in the bag, which really locks in the flavor — you can taste the freshness in every bite. The service is excellent as well. It appears to be a family-owned, mom-and-pop style restaurant, and it truly shows in the care they put into their food and how they treat their customers. Highly recommend!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad for lunch, and halfway through eating it, I realized there was a bug in my food as I was literally about to bite into it. 🤢
I wasn’t planning on leaving a review at first, but after calling to let them know (mainly so they could throw out the rest of the lettuce and avoid serving it to anyone else), the response I got was disappointing. The person who answered the phone just asked if I wanted them to send a new one. I obviously said no, because there’s no way I’d ever eat another salad from there again. He just said “ok I’m sorry ma’am, bye” in a very dismissive tone and hung up.
To make matters worse, half of the lettuce was wilted and brown, so I was basically just eating chicken and croutons even before I found the bug.
Overall, this was a truly unpleasant experience, and I won’t be ordering from here again.

I try to come here everyday for lunch during work to the point where they know me and my order upon me walking in. Always get their Latin Sandwich and it’s once if the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. Great people, great food, great weekly specials. A hole in the wall location that should be known by everyone

Sat outside for breakfast on a Friday morning. Chandler and her staff are super nice. The Cafe con Leche is truly delicious and the right temperature. We had their special omelette and the spinach plate and both were fantastic. Plus Chandler is such a friendly restauranteur. A place to return many times, with reasonable prices

I recently discovered this hidden gem and I'm so glad I did! This little mom and pop restaurant serves up delicious home-cooked food that's made with love and care. They have been here for years. The service is incredibly friendly and welcoming - it feels like you're dining with family. The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, which is always a plus. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the warm atmosphere. If you're looking for a genuine, homemade meal with a side of hospitality, look no further. I highly recommend this place. Ask for chandler or Cecilia. They are awesome!!!

Amazing little Cafe. Coral Gables biggest secret. Was even able to order Chocolate Strawberries for valentines day. Their quesadillas, sandwiches and surefire are very good!

Came in for the Cuban hands down best Cuban I've had. Fast service too and friendly definitely coming again

SO GOOD! Chandler’s Place had such great quality service and food. Started off with a warm frothy coffee, then a delightful steak sandwich, and finished with an empanada enveloped in light yet rich pastry. The quality was superb, as if it was homemade prepared especially for us guests. Thank you for the warm welcoming and service.

Love this cozy place! My new favorite lunch spot to go to. Cecilia who helped me was very attentive and the food was delicious. Not to mention it has a relaxing environment. Definitely a hidden gem.
