I've eaten at this restaurant before and I've liked it--shrimp has been good, garlic rolls, delicious, pasta has been good, though tonight I ordered via Uber eats and I was disappointed . I don't know what happens and I suppose there are a number of variables though I would imagine a restaurant would try to make a good first impression. The meatballs were tough and on the verge of tasteless, with little sauce. The lasagna was mehhh. My mother apparently enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana and the tiramisu was quite nice. Not sure if restaurants understand that the first impression pretty much guides whether they're going to get a repeat order or not.

what a wonderful place. my husband and I popped in on a saturday not really dressed to impress because we had been running errands but we felt very welcome, from the owner in the kitchen who greeted us when we walked in, to the waitress, everyone was very attentive and the food amazing! we got the ribeye and 2 pasta dish and its like you're having dinner in Italy its delicious, homemade Italian food!

Great night last night at caffe italia with our friends celebrating my 64th. Hugo made it happen with some of miami's best Italian Argentinian food, ambiance and of course wine.

Such a lovely spot in Coral Gables! The service is wonderful, friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. Every dish feels fresh and authentic, full of flavor and love. Perfect place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and soak in the cozy Italian atmosphere. Definitely a must visit if you’re in the area!

We really ate delicious, we went to an hour when there were not many people and it was perfect. They always attended us with smiles and that is essential for me, it made dinner more pleasant because it is very important to feel very good. The unbeatable food and the very pleasant place... I recommend it.

We had an incredible pizza night at Caffe Italia that the whole family enjoyed! We ordered the Fiorentina and the Puttanesca pizzas, both which were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. For the kids , we opted for classic cheese pizza, which they loved! But the real standout of the night was the garlic rolls They were simple to die for! With just the right amount of garlic, they were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place for family dining. We’ll definitely be back for another delicious pizza night at Caffe Italia.

I recently dined at Caffe Italia and was thoroughly impressed! The standout dish for me was the pescatore. It was paired with a rich savory sauce severd with linguine. We paired it with a delicious house italian pinot grigio. To finish off the meal, I indulged in the tirasimu it was simply divine. The layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone were perfectly balanced. Overall, my experience was fantastic, I will be coming back.

First and last time here. It’s a cute little place, and the servers are nice. The food is okay but it’s definitely not authentic Italian food. Not worth the price being paid.

Very nice atmosphere from the servers we ordered tilapia salad and salmon. The salad was nice and the tilapia so and so the salmon was not nice

The food was excellent. I enjoyed the veal parmesan and ravioli. The tiramisu was better than average. The atmosphere is lively. The lights are dimmed, although an older restaurant it did not feel dated, clean. There were plenty of wine options.

Caffe Italia Restaurant serves outstanding food, with gnocchi that are perfectly cooked—light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, complemented by a rich and flavorful pink sauce. I’ve been dining here for over 20 years, and it has remained consistently excellent. This hidden gem in Miami continues to deliver top-quality dishes every time.

Very disappointed experience. My daughter and I visited this restaurant for the first time because she felt eating pasta for dinner and I took her for a date.
My expectations were higher after reading the reviews, specially that the restaurant outside says homemade pasta,but it was a very bad experience related to the food.

The ambient was very nice, it's family friendly, despite me arriving with my daughter and saying good evening to the waitress in the bar and she didn't even bother to respond back, but that's fine, I let it pass, but that was the first impression.
We ate Linguini Al Pesto, first of all, the presentation was not even attractive, it looked like someone just throw the linguine in the plate and then mixed the pesto with an exaggeration of oil, and walaa! Also I think the dish could use a bit more seasoning (even though we ate at home with almost not salt, the pasta lacked flavor.) After, we asked for dessert, and also they didn't look presentable. But, I believe that sometimes the look doesn't matter but the flavor, well this time was all the contrary, the Tiramisu tasted like when an ice cream is melted with cake, and the cake is all moisture by the melting ice cream, that was the experience, also the licorice in the dessert was to strong that killed the coffee flavor.
After that, I was ready to pay and leave. I hate going to a restaurant when the food is not even worth the price.
I wish I could have had a nice experience since it was my special day with my daughter but it wasn't, because on top of that, my daughter vomited 20 minutes after arriving home. Truly, the wrong place to eat tonight. Nothing like Homemade food at home.

Café Italia is a very nice, familiy type restaurant. Ambiance is very nice, very familiar. Food is excellent. We were a group of eight and have Pimento and Anchovies, Pepperoni Pizza, Mussels and Linguine, Calamari And Pasta, Tender Loin and Baked Salmon. All were excellent. Service was good, not excellent. The waitresses did the minimum to please the customers. Prices very good. Not too friendly. Worth to come back.

This is a lovely intimate Italian Cafe. The staff is attentive and professional. The menu is extensive. We ordered a Caesar salad a bit over dressed and pricey but lettuce was fresh. We each ordered a pasta with seafood. Both were excellent. The house wine is good and a generous pour. Wine list is extensive.
They have a bar area where many regulars seem to gather. We did have an odd guest there who seemed a lot to be a regular that had multiple conversations on his speaker phone that resonated through out the whole restaurant. It was odd and did play a role in our meal. It is not the restaurants fault but wish they had asked him not do that.
Worth a trip for the pasta alone.
