Café Demetrio has an old school feel with delicious food. I ordered the French Toast Croissandwich which was fantastic and my brother ordered the French Toast Sliders, which he enjoyed. I would recommend if visiting Coral Gables for breakfast or lunch.

I love the different breakfast options. The breakfasts are made with fresh, healthy ingredients and are served with orange juice or a latte. You can enjoy them indoors or outdoors. It's a place I always want to return in.

Great service, had brunch here , the waffles are amazing ! You can never go wrong with them . As well as eggs and bread which I couldn’t find my picture to share . Great place to eat. Parking is a hit or miss depending on the time you go

I popped into Cafe Demetrio right when they opened, and I was surprised to see a line of eager patrons already waiting! It’s clear this spot is a local favorite.
Now, let’s chat about breakfast. I went for the French Toast sliders, and wow just look at that picture! They not only looked amazing but tasted incredible too. I really enjoyed my visit to Cafe Demetrio!

This café was just a 5-minute walk from my hotel, and what first caught my eye was the beautiful architecture. After learning it’s the oldest café in Coral Gables, I knew I had to try it before leaving!
I ordered a couple of coffees for my husband and me, and the service was incredibly quick. The woman who took my order was so kind and gave me great recommendations—the Cinnamon Toast Latte and the Leo Latte. Both were delicious!
I wish we’d had more time to try the food, but that will have to wait until our next visit. The inside is absolutely gorgeous, and the giant tree in the backyard adds such a cozy, welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Was in town for training and stopped at Cafe Demetrio for lunch and really enjoyed it!!!! I ordered the lunch special with a half bowl of broccoli soup and half of the Demetrio sandwich. Can’t wait to come back in town to eat this again! The restaurant was really nice and we enjoyed the weather by sitting out on the patio.

Awesome experience! Been wanting to try this spot for a long time and so happy we did. The French Toast Sliders and Omelette were fantastic. Great outdoor atmosphere and prices are reasonable for the area. Come check it out

As a Miami native I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I have not been to Coral Gables first coffee house until now, but what an absolute experience it was.
There's very few Saturday mornings that compare to the time here, we absolutely loved our time at Café Demetrio. They absolutely nailed the atmosphere of being built around the Gables first newspaper and the European 18th century coffee houses.
The classic and cinnamon toast latte were really nice, delicate flavors it taste exactly as you'd expect. The food? Incredible. I wasn't expecting the monte cristo sandwich to be such a decadent, fruit filled sandwich but I still enjoyed every bite of it.
The classic sandwich is the highlight to me, it was the first time I've ever experienced such a nostalgic bite of food in my life. I bit into the sandwich and it IMMEIDTATELY transported me to the childhood mornings were my family would bring a fresh loaf from those vacita farm stores and we'd enjoy using it to make our selves a little breakfast sandwich and talk as a family out in the patio.
Cafe Demetrio perfectly blends Cuban heritage with European influence just like the rest of the gables and it is absolutely incredible, this is Miami. This is worth the stop for natives and tourist alike, just take it slow and enjoy your time here.

Really good place but wish there was servers. You order when you walk in and then brought to your table. It works out fine but would prefer someone checking on you. Little outdoor eating area is very tranquil. Will come back.

Service was very quick and food was delicious. This place is so cozy and the perfect spot to work or just chill with a cup of coffee. They also sell these amazing basque cheesecakes.
