I’d been meaning to try Babette Miami for quite some time, and their 3-course Taste the Gables menu felt like the perfect opportunity.
Both the interior and exterior have a classic European charm that suits the French cuisine beautifully. The meal itself was genuinely excellent and reminded me of many restaurants we’ve enjoyed while traveling through France; the onion soup was rich and authentic, and the steak-frites was perfectly cooked (no need to even specify a preferred internal temperature). The steak was served with a flavorful, jus-like peppercorn sauce that complemented the dish well without overpowering it.
Overall, a lovely French dining experience in Coral Gables, and definitely a restaurant to which I’d return.

Babette is a small restaurant, but incredibly cozy and unlike almost anything else in this city. Just experiencing the atmosphere and the place itself is already worth the visit.
I started with the onion soup, which was perfectly balanced and very pleasant to the palate. Then came the Filet Mignon… simply 5 stars. Honestly, one of the best Filet Mignons I’ve ever had. Simple yet elegant, with a subtly delicious flavor that never tries too hard. The balance of taste, cooking temperature, and tenderness of the meat was absolutely outstanding.
Carlos provided very good service as well — attentive, cordial, and professional throughout the experience. Highly recommended.

If there were more stars, we would give them all. Babette was exceptional in every sense. The food truly feels Michelin-star worthy, every dish beautifully executed and memorable.
Belén made the experience even more special with such personalized service and perfect recommendations. The atmosphere is absolutely ideal for couples looking to create a meaningful memory together.
Even the owner came to our table to offer us a tasting of their incredible “liquid olives” — such an elegant and personal touch.
We will definitely be back

Occasionally one finds a gem of a restaurant and feels compelled to share the experience. So it is with Babette in Coral Gables. Every minute of our visit to Babette was delightful. The charming, historic former-house is both welcoming and intimate. Service is impeccable (we were fortunate to have Carlos attend to our meal), and the perfectly prepared appetizers and entrees selected are a testament to the culinary creativity and expertise of owner-chef Dani Chávez-Bello. Our beet tartare, little gem salad, steak frites and seared branzino were all delicious. We were quick to tell family about our discovery and look forward to returning to Babette soon.

I was recently in Miami and finally had the chance to have dinner at Babette, the new French restaurant from chef Dani Chavez and his wife, Alex Oliveros.
The food was exquisite. Coming from an Italian background, I tend to have very high standards for food, and Chef Dani delivered an extraordinary, elegant dinner experience.
I started with the beet tartare, which was beautifully balanced and simply perfect. I then had the gnocchi with fresh black truffles. As you probably know, good gnocchi require real technique and precision—they were light, delicate, and cooked to perfection, with the truffle adding depth without overwhelming the dish.
Our dinner was accompanied by a wonderful Chardonnay and a glass of Champagne, and the service was just as memorable as the food. Nick, our waiter, guided us through the wine selection and made the experience feel effortless. Dani also surprised us with scallops topped with caviar, which was an incredible treat. For dessert, we had homemade vanilla and fig ice cream, which was the perfect ending to the meal.
Overall, Babette felt like one of those rare places where the food, service, and atmosphere come together to create a truly special dining experience. I thought it might be worth bringing to your attention in case you’re planning to explore new restaurants in Miami.

Atmosphere was excellent -quiet, understated decor. Very relaxing. Service was very good, some minor snafus that need to be cleaned up if the service is to match an amazing meal. Food was superb - this is a hidden gem of a restaurant. You won’t find better in the area! Amuse bouche was an outstanding carrot and ginger soup - excellent. One of our party wanted to order an appetizer of it. Neither taste overwhelming the other - I was afraid the ginger would be too strong, but it was perfect, just enough but not too strong. Beet tartar was surprisingly excellent - not much of a beet person, but chopped up and a light slightly spicy dressing made me want to try to make it at home. Beef tartar was very good, but not at the level of the beet. Halibut was perfectly prepared, with a light sauce thankfully on the side (in case) but fortunately it was perfect with the fish. Suckling pig was PERFECT. Crispy skin but not too thick/tough, meat tender and juicy, not dried out, and a perfect sauce to accompany but not overwhelm the pig. We were too full to try anything but one dessert - flourless chocolate cake - also amazing. One of the best three restaurants that we have eaten at in Miami in the past three or four years

Everything outstanding. Went there for late lunch to celebrate our 59th wedding anniversary. Best meal we have had in quite a few years…and we surely have been places!!😂
Alejandro treated us like royalty. Everything perfect, from A to Z. We asked for a chewy red wine, he Recommended a rare vintage Valle de Guadalupe (Mexico) Monte Xanic Gran Ricardo…outstanding. Surprisingly reasonable mark-up ❤️
In fact, the whole experience was better than having our own chef catering. Merits 2-3 Michelin stars.

5-stars +! Alejandro and Chef Dani made our first experience at Babette Miami truly amazing. We thought that if somebody names their restaurant Babette should be someone who loves food and it is true! Branzino and the duck were perfect. The chocolate/miso sauce for the duck was spectacular. And the double-chocolate dessert, with Venezuelan carenero chocolate. OMG.

The charm, the food, the vibes, the love story. Babette is a such a gem. My bestie and I hosted our birthday dinner there and Alex was not only amazing to work with, but she nailed every single detail that we asked for and I am picky.
The chef created the tasting menu and recommended wine pairings along the way and the wine was SPOT ON. They have relationships with smaller vineyards and so we got to try wine that you wouldn’t be able to find otherwise.
The food was impeccable. Every course came out on time and there were no bumps along the way. Every single guest was not only impressed, but left with their hearts and stomachs full. Thank you Babette for your passion and love for food and wine 🫶🏽😘

I recently attended a private dinner here, and it was truly exceptional. The experience felt intimate and personally curated from start to finish. The chef himself came out to greet us, walked us through the beautifully crafted menu, and even guided us through the wine pairings. Every dish was incredibly fresh and delicious — I’m still dreaming about the buttery, fluffy bread starter. The wine selections were unique and top-quality, and each pairing elevated the meal even more. Overall, the food was superb, and the serene atmosphere made the evening unforgettable. We absolutely loved our dinner at Babette. The restaurant is inviting and full of charm. The staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.
Every dish was delicious and clearly made with care. You can really tell how much love goes into the cooking and presentation. It felt like dining in the chef’s home, but with restaurant-quality food!
A wonderful spot in Coral Gables. We will definitely be back.

We celebrated our Father’s 90th birthday tonight at Babette and it was perfect from beginning to end. Alejandro and his staff made everything so special. The food was so amazing, the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff was super attentive. Definitely come to this special restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

I first want to mention how much I adore the film *Babette’s Feast*, so the restaurant’s name, Babette, instantly captured my heart. My appreciation for the place really blossomed during a dinner outing with my sister. Our night was truly spectacular! The food was excellent—definitely try the beet tartare as an appetizer; you won’t regret it! The service was outstanding as well. A big thank you to our server from Madrid 😉 for making our evening so enjoyable!

A coworker brought us here while we were in town for the evening. Let me say — my taste palate danced at Babette! What a divine experience. My mouth is still watering thinking about the cavatelli lamb ragout, black truffle gnocchi and entrecôte. And with the fresh focaccia and fermented butter? Fabulous. I won’t be forgetting that meal! Furthermore, the ambiance is like a warm embrace - so pretty and welcoming. Great service. Great energy. Great music. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at Babette. It’s an elegant, cozy, and intimate restaurant with a French/European flavor. The food was outstanding, and the timing was perfect in all steps. The service was very professional. We especially loved the beef tartar! It’s totally recommended!

The menu features classic, traditional French dishes and some modern offerings with an Asian touch. The selection includes excellent champagne and wines. Its a great option for dinning in Coral Gables

Incredible service— so attentive! The food was DELICIOUS and reasonably priced for the quality. The vibe is great too; old historic house renovated into a restaurant/party space. We got the crab truffle flan as an appetizer, I got the Ricotta ravioli & my boyfriend got the Colorado lamb french rack. Both were so good!! They also made espresso martinis for us, they were great!! Will definitely be coming back
